Thai-man will serve up to 5 Years for attacking U.S.Tourist.

A thai man would serve a maximum of five years in prison after pleading guilty to obscene behavior and causing serious injury to a New-York tourist, who fell off a cliff in southern thailand, as she fled his initial attack, the authorities said on Friday.
The man, Apai Ruangwong, 28, was sentenced this month to 10 years in prison in the province of krabi, for the attack on the tourist, Hannah Gavios, after offering to guide her to her hotel, but the punishment was cut in half, because he pleaded guilty.
Ms.Gavios 23, broke her spine in the fall, although she can now move her legs, she has no feelings in her ankles, feet and backside, said her mother, Gwen Gavios.

She remains hospitalized in New-York and is learning to walk using crutches and custom leg braces. The doctor said her condition may improve as the nerve regenerate. Get well Ms.Gavios.
